Programming is one of the most important areas of the game industry. As you may know, everything you're using and looking at on this screen right now is programmed. To be a programmer at Redemption Gaming Studios you need to have a great work ethic, a general interest in video games, and an open mind. This is a fun job and you'll be surrounded by many fun and enthusiastic people sharing the same interest as yourself. We use a wide range of languages such as: Python, Java/JavaScript, HTML, CSS, C++, C#, and more. You are expected to be confident in at least one language and on applying for the position demonstrate your ability in the language that you selected, whatever that may be.
Digital artists/designers
Design is everything in our modern day world. So far, the design team at Redemption Gaming Studios have done an amazing job. Through their designs they have made things possible which we never thought could be done. If you have an interest in this area, we would like you to come and help; from designing simple advertisements and posters, to the most advanced textures which will be on constant display in the games we produce.
Nearly every aspect of our 3D games visuals has been created by a 3D modeller. As you can imagine, this is a very big job - especially with the future games we have planned. We have a huge demand for these modellers and we have reached all around the world to find them. Modelling is a very rewarding job as your work is always on display in-game. Redemption Gaming Studios uses the Blender 3D creation pipeline and asks for anyone applying for this position to be familiar and confident with blender. Upon applying for this position please display some work you have produced. On most occasions we will look upon any work favourably.
Digital 3D modellers
Digital rigger
Finesse is an essential part of rigging; looking at how a body warps during movement. As a rigger, you will create rigs for characters and objects using bones, and also adding modifiers so the animators spend less time in the long run. You would be expected to know how to use Blender and Unity, as well as basic animation principles. You will work closely with the modellers, animators, story-boarders/authors and programmers to create rigs that will meet everyone’s needs.
Map Developer
Creativity is key when it comes to developing interesting maps that will attract an audience to play the games you work on. You will have the freedom to create your own world to how you want it to look. The only limit is your imagination. The ability to learn how to develop a logical map that suits to the style of the game is necessary. We expect you to be capable with 3D programs like Blender or Unity, and you would be working closely with our team of modellers to fill your level up with eye catching objects.
Animator
Good games start with great animations. An analytical view of the way of life is needed to embellish the forms of our animations. You will be creating the in-game character animations, alongside advertising promotions. We expect you to be able to convey emotion in a non-verbal fashion, using programs like Blender or Unity. You will work closely with riggers, modellers, authors and story boarders.
Video Editor
For a game to become a success, it needs to be advertised correctly; this is what a video editor does. As a video editor, you will be asked to create trailers and short films for the project you are working on to get the fans excited about your next release! You will be required to deliver high quality work within a deadline set for the project.
